DANVILLE, Illinois — The community is mourning the tragic loss of 30-year-old Timothy Strader, who was found dead on Monday, April 6, 2026, after being reported missing for several days.
According to the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department, a relative reported Strader missing on Saturday, April 4, noting that he had not been heard from for approximately 10 to 12 days. Authorities immediately launched an investigation to locate him.
During the search, investigators discovered human remains on a property in the 1700 block of West Williams Street in Danville. Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden later confirmed the remains were those of Strader.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. The Illinois State Police assisted with crime scene processing, and the investigation remains ongoing as officials work to gather more details.
Strader’s sudden and tragic death has left family, friends, and neighbors in shock. He is being remembered as a young man whose life was cut short under heartbreaking circumstances, with many in the community expressing grief and offering condolences to his loved ones.
