LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Two men were found dead following an apparent murder-suicide at a hotel near Flamingo Road and Maryland Parkway, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Police say the incident occurred Monday afternoon near the 1500 block of East Flamingo Road. Officers responded around 3:41 p.m. after receiving reports of a gunshot and a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, officers located one man dead at the scene. A witness reported seeing an elderly man leave the victim’s room and enter another room, where a second gunshot was heard.
Police then discovered the elderly man inside, also deceased from what investigators determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities believe the incident was an unprovoked murder-suicide. No further details about the identities of the individuals have been released at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing as officials continue to gather information surrounding the circumstances of the incident.
